This man doesn't pussy-foot around the point. He gets right to it. But most of you CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH. Some of you do get it, but it's hard to figure out which of you do.
Oh, sure, some of you used to put the evolving neanderthals and homo sapiens on your bumper stickers (evolution), while the "other side" put "the fish" (loaves and fishes),
but it's rare to find someone who admits that ALL of the religions are just fables - legends, stories made up and passed down through the ages - like fairy tales.

An hour or so ago, I was annoyed (but kind and polite to them) by three jehovah's witness ladies who came to my door.
I lectured them (turning the tables on them) but they still left me with their card for a "free bible course". I just ripped it up and tossed it in the garbage.
It's kids' stuff. I'm not a child. In the third grade, I learned that "Santa wasn't real" - that it was just a story.
I accepted the exposure of that lie calmly (without fuss) because everyone 'fessed up to it. They didn't pretend to believe, and expect you to believe, the fable all the way
through adulthood. And, after all, it does makes sense to tell a fun story to little children to make the Holiday bright and happy for them.

The SCOPES TRIAL (named after the teacher, Mr. Scopes, is also known as the SCOPES FREEDOM TO THINK AND LEARN TRIAL

The religion story is very, very, very, very problematical. It's a problem because "grown" people have to be stupid or intellectually dishonest to believe the fables.
"The Age Of Enlightenment" occurred in the late 1700's. It resulted in The American Revolution and in the much bloodier and much more important French Revolution.
WE merely had to keep our king at a distance, and force him to leave us alone. We were already half way to independence because of distance, the ocean, and self reliance.
But in Europe, the kings lived in the country where the citizens lived, and the kings had to be beheaded in order to be free from their tyranny.

"The Age Of Enlightenment" is also called "The Age Of Reason"
The Age Of Reason was all about overthrowing the requirement that you HAD TO believe whatever the pope or king said.
The Giants of The Age of Reason said that we should use reason, observation, and common sense
and believe what our minds and our eyes and ears and our common sense and our reason told you must be true.

THOMAS PAINE, FOUNDING FATHER,
authored "Common Sense" (1776), the most influential pamphlet at the start of the American Revolution.

"I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, and no more", wrote Paine ("Age of Reason", para. 4)

so PAINE BELIEVED IN GOD but not in religions. He explains why not in one sentence ("Age of Reason", para. 8),
"All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Tukish, appear to me no other than HUMAN INVENTIONS
set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit."

But Thomas Paine did not criticize people for believing what they had been taught since their birth,

"That many good men have believed this strange fable, and lived very good lives under that belief (for credulity is not a crime)
is what I have no doubt of. In the first place, they were educated to believe it, and they would have believed anything else in the same manner."
