This is my first entry in the category PERSONAL UPDATES I'm not active on social media sites, though I established accounts which I rarely get on. This will be much more like an activity log than like a diary, so I will not be pouring out my heart and feelings, but just sort of telling you what I do each weekend. I use my website for all purposes. I am interested in world and national news and analysis, and I have a category WORLD AND NATIONALfor that. This will be mostly curating (selecting and presenting with guidance) Judge Napolitano's "Judging Freedom" video interviews with experts. But I also wish to discuss so many other topics that I am creating a category SPECIAL TOPICS. This will supposedly cover everything else that is not a record of my personal activity or a deep dive into World and National news. For example, I will start out with discussions of the Veterans' Administration, crushes and an AI look at why and how they happen, and the psychology industry.

I'M PAINTING THE BIG ROOM RED This first entry here in PERSONAL UPDATES I will title "I'm painting the big room red." It's an interesting story in several ways, and hopefully I'll have time to get into it all. Right now, I'll say that it's a concrete example of DECISION MAKING, with thoughts and comments on why we sometimes "procrastinate" or delay making decisions, and the energy-liberating effect of finally making a decision. Here's a thought experiment. When you come to a "Y" in the road and you don't know which way to go, should you stop until you're certain? Eventually you might think "well, I'm wasting my time just sitting here, undecided, and I want to make progress and get things done, so I'll just head down one of the roads and I guess I can always come back here if it was the wrong road." Waiting might be the more efficient and better choice. Well, I prioritize my activities, and de-cluttering the big room has always nagged me as a high priority but I always postponed it. but finally I've made a decision about something else that has stopped the "analysis paralysis" and has energized me to charge forward to fix up the room. It has to do with accepting things, letting go, and starting again. "PAINTING IT RED" is not just about de-cluttering and making it nice, though that's important. It will also lead to a discussion of other interesting, important issues. Anyway, Sunday's half gone and I have a to-do list to get to, including getting some red paint! Stay tuned ...
